Guided by the belief in bridging the gap between people and technology, Mountain Mac Solutions provides friendly, practical support for the devices and home technology people rely on every day. Based in Nelson, BC, the business offers in-home support in Nelson and within approximately a 60 km radius of Nelson, along with remote support across Canada. The goal is to help people feel more confident using their technology and less stressed when something is not working the way it should.  

Mountain Mac Solutions focuses on helping home users, seniors, home-based professionals, and select business clients with their Macs, iPhones, iPads, Wi-Fi, printers, iCloud, email, and smart home devices. The emphasis is not just on solving technical problems, but on making technology easier to use, easier to understand, and better connected to daily life.

Johnathan “Johno” Heckbert is the owner and technician behind Mountain Mac Solutions. As the sole operator of the business, he provides one-on-one support with a strong focus on clear communication, practical problem-solving, and helping people feel more comfortable with technology.

Johno works closely with clients to understand not just the technical issue, but how the technology fits into their daily life. That means looking at the bigger picture — how devices connect, how they are used at home, and what will make things work more smoothly going forward.

His support is focused primarily on Apple devices and home technology, including Macs, iPhones, iPads, Wi-Fi, printers, iCloud, email, and smart home devices. He believes good tech support should not feel rushed, confusing, or full of jargon. It should feel helpful, respectful, and tailored to the person using it.

Mountain Mac Solutions was created to help keep quality tech support available locally in the Kootenays while offering a more personal and approachable experience. Johno’s goal is to help bridge the gap between people and technology by making everyday tech easier to use and less stressful to manage.
